The Best Christmas Lights In NJ Find the best light shows in NJ

Remember Clark Griswold, Chevy Chase’s character in Christmas Vacation? He painstakingly covered his property with 25,000 Christmas lights, with the goal of creating a magnificent holiday display (while driving his family and neighbors crazy in the process).

Just like in this classic holiday movie, many local families across New Jersey produce stunning light shows that would put Griswold to shame.

Many of these homes will have music playlists synced to radio frequencies that play in tandem with the lights, enabling you to listen from your car (as if you haven’t heard Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You” two dozen times by now).

In addition to private residences, many of your favorite NJ family-friendly attractions also create festive Christmas events during the month of December.

There’s nothing better than loading up the car, driving around and gazing at tens of thousands of twinkling lights as they light up the winter sky. It’s a tradition that many families enjoy to get in the holiday spirit.

Do you know where to go for the best light show in town?

We’ve compiled the definitive guide to Christmas light displays in NJ for the 2018 season. You’ll find exactly what you need for your trip to one of these illuminating spectacles. Find the locations of each display, as well as dates and times when the lights will be on. Free but donations for Cancer Charities are being accepted this year as I lost my wife to cancer. I also have incorporated a large cancer ribbon in the display. When is it is all syncronized to lights it’s hard for a picture to give it justice but here are some of the lights.

Hi Dave, Thanks so much for your submission, we needed another house for our Southern NJ visitors! Your light display sounds amazing. Please look out for an email from me momentarily and we’ll get your display up on our list. Merry Christmas!

  25. Hi Ray. Thanks for the great list! I just visited #38 (Trimble St, Medford) and the homeowner asked me if I would post a comment for her to ask you to change the hours to 7-9 not 5-9. Also, she asks that you remove the reference to the fresh baked bread. All the baking is becoming overwhelming. Thanks again!

  26. Thanks for that wonderful list. These are simply stunning. Love the enthusiasm, creativity and Christmas spirit. Being in NJ during Christmas is an experience of a lifetime.
